Wills & Estate Planning

Wills and estate plans can significantly impact the future of your estate and your loved ones. The Hunter Law Firm encourages anyone to have these documents carefully crafted and reviewed before an unfortunate event occurs.

  • Wills - A will is a legal document that sets forth your wishes regarding the distribution of your property and the care of any minor children. Those wishes may not be carried out if you die without a will. Further, your heirs may spend additional time, money, and emotional energy settling your affairs after you're gone.

  • Trusts - A trust is similar to a will in that it can be created to leave certain assets to certain people who might not be your legal heir. Assets held in a trust are managed by a trustee, and it can have certain tax advantages and do not need to pass through probate.

  • Powers of Attorney - There are two common types of powers of attorney: healthcare and financial power of attorney. Both types of documents are used to provide another person with the lawful authority to make decisions on your behalf regarding healthcare or finances if you cannot do so.

Your assets are important to you, making them important to us. We believe it is imperative that you protect them with strategic planning.
